Smayan Agarwal
Currently, I am a research engineer at the FP Launchpad team at IIT Madras. FP Launchpad is a new centre funded by Jane Street focused on improving OCaml, under Professor KC Sivaramakrishnan.
I did my undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Mathematics at Ashoka University. I did my undergraduate thesis on weighted automata and formal language theory under Professor Aalok Thakkar.
My thesis work led to the paper ‘Localising Stochasticity in Weighted Automata’ which has been accepted at FSTTCS 2026. See y’all in Delhi in December!
